Norman Kwan,B.Sc., M.Sc., D.D.S.
Dr. Kwan is Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Society of Implant Dentistry. He is currently a member of the medical staff of the Niagara Health System as well as the Health Care Corporation of St. John’s, Newfoundland. Presently, he is Executive Director of the Canadian Dental Implant Institute and founder and CEO of Biomedical Implant Technology Inc. Dr. Kwan is a regular invited speaker in many US and international dental conferences. He is also the inventor and developer of the BioHex One Piece – One Stage Dental Implant System and holds numerous US and international patents. For the last ten years, his research has focused on implant prosthetics. |
Dr. Kwan obtained his Master of
Science from the University of Toronto in 1977 and his Doctor of Dental
Surgery from the University of Toronto in 1982. He is licensed by
the Royal College of Dental Surgeons in Ontario. Dr. Kwan
received his post-graduate training in implant dentistry in 1987 at
Lund University, Sweden; Harvard University, Boston in 1987-1989 and
Brookdale Hospital Medical Centre, New York in 1989-1990.
